On Sunday, January 28th, 8 matches spent the afternoon at Camptown Inc. conquering the bouldering wall and testing their abilities on the speed wall. Drew Neddo, Senior Match Support Specialist, had the honor of spending the afternoon with our matches, and he had a blast!
“The matches all got along great and it was really special to watch Big and Little encourage each other but also to see Littles encouraging other Littles,” Drew shared. “I think climbing/bouldering is such a good activity for the youth in our program because it is all about problem solving and working through a challenge. Little Brother Shawn worked hard to get up the Speed Wall – you could see his confidence grow after he made it to the top after several unsuccessful attempts! Little Sisters Nyomi, Faith and Railee are like little mountain goats, just repeatedly going up and down the wall with endless energy. Little Brother Trsiten and Little Sister Taw Tee battled in an intense game of giant Jenga. By the end the tower was taller than both of them.”
