Match Date: September 29, 2016

High School: Carmel High School

Little Brother Racine and Big Brother Tim Gardner have been matched together for 5 years. Racine will be graduating from Carmel High School in the Spring. Racine is still considering his plans after high school.

When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Brother Racine has grown over the years Tim shared, “It has been almost 6 years, so our relationship has changed a LOT! The best way to describe it so to say we are “friends.””

Racine and Tim have done a lot together over the years and there are so many memories that mean so much to this match. During their time together they were able to attend plenty of Pacer’s games. They were able to enjoy those games in a suite hanging out and having fun. In addition to the many of games they have had dinner together, went out to the movies etc.

Tim has one message that he would like to leave for Racine, “Remember all that you’ve learned. Keep making good choices, keep choosing good friends, study hard, stay positive. Your future is up to you!” The BBBSCI family and Tim will be rooting for Racine in his next chapter of life after high school.

Good luck, Racine!

Match Date: 10/21/2016

High School: Carmel High School

Little Brother Will and Big Brother Jim have been matched together for 5 years. Will is graduating from Carmel High School in the Spring. Will is still considering his plans after graduation.

When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Brother Will has grown over the years Jim shared, “Will has grown in confidence, involvement, and academic performance. It has been a great journey watching him make friends, get a job, begin dating, and start to think about his future.”

Will and Jim have done a lot together over the years memories that stand out for this match is when they visited White River over the summer to canoe. They floated 10 feet away from a bald eagle which was terrifying for them. To be that close knowing that the eagle could get to them quickly, but luckily it sat there and watched them. In addition to this memory, they have done much more such as eating out with one another, walking around the mall, etc.

You do not need to have all the answers of what you want to do with your life, just explore new things and find what you love.” The BBBSCI family and Jim will be rooting for Will in his next chapter of life after high school.

Good luck, Will!
