DESCRIPTION:May              23              \, 2026            \n            Match Activity: Big Day of Little Adventures          \n            \n                            Register Today!\n                      \n        \n      \n    \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THIS EVENT:\n\n\n\nTuesday\, April 5\, 2024 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM | BBBSCI Mentoring Hub \n\n\n\nJoin leaders from youth-serving organizations around Indiana for to hear from Sarah Kumfer\, Director of Public Policy & Advocacy at MCCOY\, about how recent state legislation has impacted LGBTQ+ youth and how organizations can advocate for the young people in their program. \n\n\n\nBig Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana (BBBSCI) and MCCOY will be leading this session to: \n\n\n\n\nProvide a history of active legislation that impacts LGBTQ+ young people;\n\n\n\nProvide an update on legislation that recently passed in the 2024 general session;\n\n\n\nTalk through ways for organizations to be engaged in advocacy; and\n\n\n\nShare how organizations can support the youth in their program in the current legislative landscape.\n\n\n\n\nThis information will be specifically applicable to organizations through the state of Indiana.
