Match: Little - Kore Big - Kore Mosley

Match Date: July 12, 2018

Little's High School: Warren Central High School

Little Brother Kore and Big Brother Bret Skirvin have been matched together for 5 years. Kore will be graduating from Warren Central High School in May 2023. Come the fall, Kore plans to attend Trade School.

During their time in the BBBSCI program, Little Brother Kore and Big Brother Bret enjoyed Gen Con, Winterlights at Newfields, senior pictures, and attending agency sponsored events such as Game Night. Kore shared that what he has gotten most from his relationship with Bret is brotherhood. He also shared that his Big taught him how to be confident. Bret shared that it has been rewarding watching Kore grow, both literally and figuratively. To see him have a successful high school career, getting good grades, and turning into a well-mannered gentleman. While watching him navigate the organ donor process, as he struggled with his health early on while waiting on the donor list. He also shared that Kore has taught him a lot about the music industry.

Bret said if he could share on thing with Kore about his impact on his life he would say, "Kore has taught me a lot about persevering through adversity and doing so with a great attitude. As mentioned above, Kore had to navigate the process of getting a Kidney transplant. This is a unique challenge that most kids his age cannot relate to, and one I certainly cannot relate to. It would have been easy for him to have a "poor me" attitude about the hand he was dealt, but the way he handled it was quite the opposite. Not once did I hear him complain about how frequently he had to go to dialysis leading up to his transplant, or about the challenges he faced due to those circumstances that were out of his control. Even on the occasions when he was in the hospital, he always had a positive attitude. He also did all of this while not only participating in school but maintaining good grades! I think it has been very admirable how he has handled everything, and for him to be in good health and on the verge of high school graduation is just awesome and I am super proud of him."

The BBBSCI Family will be rooting for both Kore and Bret after graduating from the program. We wish you both the best of luck!
