Little Sister Alissa and Big Sister Erin Lucas have been matched together for 6 years. Alissa will be graduating from Ben Davis High School in the Spring. Alissa is still considering her plans after graduation.
When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Sister Alissa has grown over the years Erin shared, “Alissa was shy when we first met but now, she has opened and shares with me about her school, family, friends, and future. We have grown a lot together in the last six years. I had a baby in 2019 and Alissa refers to her as her niece and loves hearing how she is growing and learning. The pandemic really limited our in-person interactions, but we kept contact by texting and playing online games like Uno together. We have always had an open-door communication style and will continue that post-graduation.”
Alissa and Erin have done a lot together over the years memories that stand out for them are their bike rides on the Indy Canal, decorating the Indianapolis Fever locker room, ice skating, eating a load of nachos at the Indy Fuel game, trying the Escape Room. Their top moment was when they attended the Taylor Swift concert. They were both excited to attend this concert because of their love for country music. In addition to these moments Alissa and Erin have attended BBBSCI sponsored events and much more.
Erin has one message that she would like to leave for Alissa, “I genuinely love hanging out with Alissa and the time we spend together, no matter the activity. She is a beautiful person inside and out and truly has her whole life ahead of her to do whatever she puts her mind to. She has so much to offer this world and her potential is limitless. Her love all things nature, animals, and humanity are infectious. I cannot wait to see where she goes, and what she does with her life. Match: Little Brother Aundre and Big Brother Thomas Reives
Match Date: September 12, 2016
High School: Ben Davis High School
Little Brother Aundre and Big Brother Thomas Reives have been matched together for 5 years. Aundre will be graduating from Ben Davis High School in the Spring. Aundre is still considering his plans after graduation.
When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Brother Aundre has grown over the years Thomas shared, “He is a young man now, with a job and taller than me. It was from one day to the next that he seemed to grow up, and it was only yesterday we were paired. He is more of a little brother in a family way.”
Aundre and Thomas have done a lot together over the years, but a memory that stand out for them is attend the NCAA Basketball tournaments in Indianapolis. Being able to experience going to those games is something they cannot forget. They have also enjoyed fishing with one another and more.
Thomas has one message that he would like to leave for Aundre, “Just stay focused on being the best “you” and do not worry about everyone else." The BBBSCI family and Thomas will be rooting for Aundre in his next chapter of life after graduation.

Match: Little Sister Cantrell and Big Sister Roxana Bell
Match Date: October 26, 2013
High School: Ben Davis High School
Little Sister Cantrell and Big Sister Roxana Bell have been matched together for 8 years. Cantrell will be graduating from Ben Davis High School in the Spring. Cantrell is still considering her future after graduation.
When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Sister Cantrell has grown over the years Roxana shared, “Cantrell and I instantly clicked. We have similar, temperaments, taste in music, devotion to family, and ideas of fun! Over the years, our relationship has grown as we have experienced life events together and celebrated milestones. It has been a pleasure and honor to witness her growing up into such a lovely young lady.”
Cantrell and Roxana have a lot of memories over the years, but memorable match moment was when Cantrell was able to meet her son. Their first outing they went to Zoo. Roxana could remember her pink ribbons she had in her hair for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. How someone pointed at her, and she shrugged it off with confidence, maturity, and self-assuredness of someone much older than a nine year. Since this day they have had a lot of memorable moments and fun times.
Roxana has one message that she would like to leave for Cantrell, “You are a force! I am so proud to call you my Little Sister and know that you have a Big Sister for life in me.” The BBBSCI family and Roxana will be rooting for Cantrell in her next chapter in life after graduation.

Match: Little Sister Charletta and Big Sister Stephanie Kerswill
Match Date: May 30, 2019
High School: Ben Davis High School
Little Sister Charletta and Big Sister Stephanie Kerswill have been matched together for 2 years, Charletta will be graduating from Ben Davis High School in the Spring. Charletta plans to study Nursing, but she is still considering where she will attend college. Charletta is also the scholarship recipient for the Lawrence W. Inlow & Carryl A. Wilkerson Scholarship Fund.
When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Sister Stephanie has grown over the years Stephanie shared, “We have grown so much over our 2.5-3 years as a match. We have grown both as friends and in a mentor-mentee relationship and I will never forget the impact this match has made on me! The memories we have made together will last a lifetime.”
Charletta and Stephanie have done a lot together over the years memories that stand out for them was when they went out for Sushi. Stephanie shared, “Charletta was an absolute rockstar and courageous enough to try sushi and wasabi for the first time ever! She even took a shot at using chopsticks. It was amazing to see Charletta jump into something adventurous like this – she has broader palate than most people her age!”
Stephanie has one message that she would like to leave for Charletta, “You are so smart and hardworking – keep believing in yourself and you’ll be able to do anything you put your mind to!” The BBBSCI family and Stephanie will be rooting for Charletta as she heads into this next chapter in her life in college.

Match: Little Brother Levi and Big Brother James Burton
Match Date: July 29, 2014
High School: Ben Davis High School
Little Brother Levi and Big Brother James Burton have been matched together for 7 years. Levi will be graduating from Ben Davis High School in the Spring. Levi is planning to join the Air Force and get into the workforce pursuing mechanical engineering.
When reflecting on their time in the program and how their relationship has grown Little Brother Levi shared, "It has grown a lot since we first were matched. At first it was kind of weird for me because I wasn't very social but we grew into being family."
Levi shares that their most memorable match moment was when they first met each and that their time since being match has been memorable.
Levi has one message that he would like to share for his Big Brother, "thank you for everything you taught me for guidance and for providing me with a good life." The BBBSCI family and James will be rooting for Levi as he joins the Air Force and pursues mechanical engineering.

Match: Little Sister Liliana and Big Sister Devin Noyes
Match Date: April 15, 2017

Littler Sister Liliana and Big Sister Devin Noyes have been matched together for 5 years. Liliana will be graduating from Ben Davis High School in the Spring. Liliana is still considering options in pursuing interior design.
When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Sister Liliana has grown over the years Devin shared, “I have had the privilege to see her grow as a person. When we first met, she was so young, and after the last 6 years I have been able to see her grow into such a great, caring, hardworking young woman. I am incredibly proud of the woman she has become.”
Liliana and Devin have done a lot together over the years but the memories that stand out for them both are Liliana’s Quinceañera. It was a chance for them to bond as a family. For Devin it was rewarding to see her confirmed in the church, and to haver her first dance with her father. It was a special night for Liliana and Devin felt honored to have been a part of it. They also always have a wonderful time cooking with one another and hanging out.
Devin has one message that she would like to leave for Liliana, “I hope that you find something that excites you in your life, something that you enjoy doing and that makes you feel fulfilled at the end of the day. You are so creative, and smart, that you deserve to do something because you are talented. Embrace that creativity – whether it is interior design, event planning, raising a family. Success looks different to everyone, and at the end of the day I just want you surrounded by people who love you, while doing what you love.” The BBBSCI family and Devin will be rooting for Liliana in her next chapter in life.

Match: Little Brother Marcus and Big Brother Nick Dorner

Little Brother Marcus and Big Brother Nick Dorner have been matched together for 6 years. Marcus will be graduating from Ben Davis High School in the Spring. Marcus is still considering his plans after graduation.
When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Brother Marcus has grown over the years Nick shared, “Having been Marcus’s Big Brother for 5+ years I’ve seem Marcus grown from a kid to a young man. Marcus and I have candid conversations about the world and life. It has gone from a mentoring relationship to a friendship (with some mentoring still mixed in).”
Marcus and Nick have done a lot together over the years, but their favorite memory is when they went to Buffalo Wild Wings. This is where they first spent time together with one another and had the chance to laugh and talk. Also, Marcus tried the blazing wing challenge, and it did not turn out well! But this is a moment that they will never forget.
Nick has one message that he would like to leave for Marcus, “Stay humble, choose your friends wisely and do not forget to have some fun along the way. You are going to do wonderful things in this world.” The BBBSCI family and Nick will be rooting for Marcus in his next chapter in life.

Match: Little Sister SaDaiya and Big Sister Kim Taylor
Match Date: September 18, 2018
High School: Ben Davis High School
Little Sister SaDaiya and Big Sister Kim Taylor have been matched for 3 years. SaDaiya will be graduating from Ben Davis High School in the Spring. Come the Fall, SaDaiya is planning to attend Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis studying Exercise Science.
When reflecting on their time together in the program Little Sister SaDaiya and Big Sister Kim relationship has grown from their first outing at Journey’s buffet to an incredibly good relationship. They both have developed a fun relationship where they can spend time together, joke with one another, and spend time having fun!
SaDaiya and Kim have a lot of memories over the past 3 years one that both enjoyed was swimming with the dolphins at the Indianapolis Zoo Dolphin Experience. Kim shared, “Seeing the look on SaDaiya face, she was excited to be with them!” They also enjoyed attending Big Futures: Etiquette Dinner two years in a row! In addition to these special memories SaDaiya and Kim have enjoyed many of the BBBSCI agency sponsored match events and going out for meals together.
Kim has one message that she would like to leave for SaDaiya, “You’re the author of your life’s story, you can start a new chapter anytime! Life is like a book; it has many chapters!” The BBBSCI family and Kim will be rooting for SaDaiya as she heads into this next chapter of her life Indiana University Purdue University of Indianapolis.

Match: Little Brother Joseph and Big Brother Jim Linhart
Match Date: January 4, 2019
High School: Noblesville High School
Little Brother Joseph and Big Brother Jim Linhart have been matched together for 3 years. Joseph will be graduating from Noblesville High School in the Spring. Come the Fall, Joseph is planning to attend Ivy Tech.
When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Brother Joseph has grown over the past 3 years Jim shared, “From me (Jim) initiating conversation and choosing what to do to him (Joseph) confidently articulating his thoughts and what he wants to do.”
Joseph and Jim have done a lot together over the years, but they both have memories that stand out to them such as going out to Dave & Busters. Also, when Joseph went golfing for his first time learning how to golf and driving the golf cart. They have both enjoy their outings with one another and always has a blast when hanging out.
Jim has one message that he would like to leave for Joseph, “I was lucky to be your Big! Match: Little Sister Sandra and Big Sister Michelle Farrell
Match Date: March 11, 2018
High School: Noblesville High School
Little Sister Sandra and Big Sister Michelle Farrell have been matched together for 4 years. Sandra will be graduating from Noblesville High School in the Spring. Sandra is still considering her plans after graduation.
When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Sister Sandra has grown over the years Michelle shared, “Sandra and I have lots of fun together and spend quite a bit of time laughing. Many times, it is her poking fun at me (probably because it is so easy to do). Sandra is open and strong in her convictions with me, which I love. It has been incredible to watch Sandra experience life, learn, and really put herself out there. She works hard at everything she does which will only lead to further successes in life.”
Sandra and Michelle have done a lot together over the years memories that stand out for them was when the went horseback riding with each other’s families. Having breakfast, dinner, and walks. They have fun shopping with each other. Michelle shared, “She is my kind of shopper and again just makes you laugh whenever you’re with her.” Also, attending Sandra’s track events.
Michelle has one message that she would like to leave for Sandra, “Truly, truly the world is Sandra’s oyster. Not only do I want her to continue working so hard for everything she wants, but to focus on having fun along the way and making solid relationships with others. Sandra is gorgeous inside and out and she has so much to offer. I have valued our relationship tremendously and I too have learned a lot from her.
