Be You. Be Big.

You don't have to be perfect to be a big.

Diversity & Inclusion

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana actively engages diversity, inclusion and cultural competencies throughout our organization. BBBSCI serves an incredibly diverse constituency of adult volunteers, youth and families of the youth, donors, and partners.  It is paramount to achieving our mission to value diversity and practice inclusion amongst all of our stakeholders served by the organization.  In doing so, we recognize the strengths and challenges of diversity include but are not limited to –race, religion, national origin, color, economic status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, marital status, disability education, expertise, and socio-economic status.  The organization’s staff and board strive to be representative of the constituencies we serve.

Volunteering is fun, big time.

Show up and be you.
We work hard to pair Littles with Bigs who will make a great match. You have common ground right from the start. And then all you have to do is explore and learn together, over just a few hours a month for a year. Play sports together. Go on a hike. Read books. Eat a pizza with extra anchovies. Or just give some advice and inspiration. Whatever it is you enjoy, odds are you’ll enjoy them even more with your Little—and you’ll be making a life-changing impact.

Lean on us.
You won't have all of the answers. But you will have support. Your Match Support Specialist will guide you through rough spots or offer ideas for building the relationship with your Little. And we offer plenty of activities and tickets to events so you'll always have something to do with your Little!

Make a change.
When you befriend a little, you change lives - starting with your own. As a Big, Big Couple, or Big Friend you help not just a child, but an entire family. And the benefits ripple out through our community.
