We do not need to create potential, we just need to defend it. Kids in our community are waiting for mentors who will stand with them to defend, ignite, and empower their potential. Big Brothers Big Sisters exists to create positive change in our community by matching youth with Bigs to build powerful friendships. Click here to sign up to become a Big. After you complete your application, a member of our staff will contact you within 2-3 business days.

To become a Big, you must be at least 19 years of  age and agree to meet with a child 2-4 times a month for 1 year.

If you have questions or would like to learn more about becoming a Big, please contact Eric Cervantes, Manager of Volunteer Outreach & Engagement, at ecervantes@bbbsci.org or 317-472-3720.

Little Brother Kani is 10 years old and was matched with Big Brother Harvey in October 2019.  For one of their first outings, Harvey took Kani to a Fishers High School football game and Kani, who wants to play football when he is in high school, even got the chance to talk to the starting quarterback and running back after the game! Harvey shared, “Kani couldn’t stop talking about it – it definitely put a smile on his face.” Harvey has also cheered Kani on at his basketball and football games. In their first year together, they have enjoyed an Indianapolis Colts game, BBBSCI game nights, and going out to dinner together. “Kani is so bright, and has a lot of things planned for the future. I am so happy with how our match is going so far!” Harvey said.
