Little Sister Summer and Big Sister Deanna Ricketts have been matched together for 8 years. After graduating high school, Summer plans to take a gap year. Once her gap year is over, she plans to attend college in the fall of 2021.
When asked to reflect on their time in our program, Little Sister Summer and Big Sister Deanna shared that their most memorable time together was on the BBBSCI annual trip to Chicago. Little Sister Summer has a sibling in the program and her brother and his Big were able to attend as well. After a long bus ride, they spent the day at Navy Pier–shopping and taking in all the sites! After that, they headed out to enjoy a major-league baseball game and cheer on the Chicago White Sox. In addition to fun experiences like exploring Chicago, Summer and Deanna really enjoy being able to go out to each and just catch up on life. Good luck, Summer!
