Join leaders from youth-serving organizations around Indiana for to hear from Sarah Kumfer, Director of Public Policy & Advocacy at MCCOY, about how recent state legislation has impacted LGBTQ+ youth and how organizations can advocate for the young people in their program.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana (BBBSCI) and MCCOY will be leading this session to:
- Provide a history of active legislation that impacts LGBTQ+ young people;
- Provide an update on legislation that recently passed in the 2024 general session;
- Talk through ways for organizations to be engaged in advocacy; and
- Share how organizations can support the youth in their program in the current legislative landscape.

Light refreshments and beverages will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring lunch.
