Ever wondered what really happens inside a public health clinic? This is your chance to go behind the scenes and explore careers that make a real impact in the community! This event is open to Littles in Grade 6 and up.
Join us for an exclusive tour of Action Health Center, a public health clinic within the Marion County Health Department network. You may recognize them from our November event, “The Talk: Safe + Healthy Relationships,” and now they’re welcoming us into their space for an inside look at life in a health clinic.
Led by Dr. Milicent Moye, you’ll tour the clinic, meet medical professionals, and learn about the wide range of careers that exist in public and community health.
What to expect
• Guided clinic tour with Dr. Milicent Moye
• Meet professionals in different medical and health roles
• Interactive demos including blood pressure checks, reflex tests, audiometry (hearing tests), and how to properly wrap a sprained ankle
• A conversation about the difference between public and private health clinics
• Light refreshments provided
• Every Match leaves with a swag bag
This is a hands on, engaging experience designed to spark curiosity, build awareness, and help Littles explore future careers in health, medicine, and public service.
Spots are limited, so don’t miss this chance to step behind the scrubs and discover what caring careers look like in action!
Reminder: This event is open to Littles in Grade 6 and up.
