Learn more:
Big Track Takeover gives Littles the opportunity to step into a real track-meet environment while trying a variety of running and field events in a fun, supportive setting. Participants will race in the 60-meter dash, 1-lap dash, 2-lap dash, and 4-lap dash, and rotate through field events including long jump, shot put, and javelin.
Thanks to our partners at AthLead Indy, Littles will be outfitted in track top uniforms and experience the excitement of organized competition, with medals awarded for top performances in select events. This event is open to all skill levels and emphasizes confidence-building, movement, and sportsmanship.
All activities will take place indoors, and lunch will be provided for registered Matches.

What to Wear
Please remember to wear athletic running tennis shoes and comfortable clothing suitable for running and movement. While shoes like Jordans or Dunks are great for everyday wear, running shoes are designed specifically for running. They offer cushioning, flexibility, and support that help protect joints and make running more comfortable and safer during track events.
TIPS
- A running shoe should cushion impact, bend at the toe, and fit securely so the foot stays comfortable and supported while running.
- Jordans are not running shoes
- Flat shoes like Nike Dunks, Airforces, Trailblazers, Vans and other similar styles are not good for running or jumping.
- Crocs are not running shoes.
- If purchasing shoes, keep stores like Ross Dress for Less and Burlington Coat Factory in mind. They have affordable, good quality shoes that would cost more elsewhere.
Spots are limited, so be sure to RSVP in advance to secure your place at Big Track Takeover!
