Join us in-person at BBBSCI for a fun-filled night of playing games and hanging out!
BBBSCI invites Bigs and Littles to join us for one of our favorite traditions, GAME NIGHT! This game night we will be joined by Arts for Learning Teaching Artists Omar Rashan and Portia Sholar Jacksonwho will lead us in an optional activity titled “Connecting History Through Art and Memory”.
This workshop combines art and history to explore African American culture. Participants start with African American Storytelling Fun Facts and a fun Guess Who? game, listening to audio clips of African American icons and identifying them for prizes. Next, they complete connect-the-dots worksheets featuring historical symbols or figures and use colors to bring the images to life. The session blends creativity and learning, fostering a deeper connection to history.
Matches will also be able to enjoy our “hangout”, equipped with a ping-pong-table, pool-table, foosball, and more space to play!
Pizza, snacks and bottled water provided.
