Match: Little Sister Stephanie and Big Sister Kara Carreri

Little Sister Stephanie and Big Sister Kara have been matched together for about a year. Stephanie will be graduating from Westfield High School in the Spring. Come this Fall, Stephanie will be attending Purdue studying Animal Science with a concentration in Pre-Vet. Stephanie is also the scholarship recipient for the Big Potential Award (Made Possible by the Strada Education Network).

When reflecting on their time together in the program and how Little Sister Stephanie has grown over the past year Kara shared, “Our relationship has grown so much. We opened up to each other, enjoyed our time together, and celebrated the exciting moments."

Stephanie and Kara have done a lot together over the past year, but one memory that stands out for both of them was celebrating Stephanie’s birthday at the Cake Bake Shop! They both enjoyed hanging out with one another and taking pictures during their visit. They have also enjoyed hanging out with one another and playing tennis.  

Kara has one message that she would like to leave for Stephanie, “You will do an amazing job in college. You have big dreams and I have no doubt you will be the best veterinarian! I cannot wait to stay in touch and be there for you in this next chapter. I am so proud of you!” The BBBSCI family and Kara will be rooting for Stephanie as she heads into this next chapter of her life at Purdue University.
